Student Requirements
Students must have the language, literacy, numeracy (LLN) and physical capabilities to meet the performance criteria of this unit. (For further information or if you have any concerns regarding LLN and/or physical capabilities please contact the office)
Participants must have the ability to read and write English and be able to perform practical and theoretical assessment as required.
Students must wear standard work wear, enclosed safety shoes, long shirt and pants.
Course Details
Duration: 5-6 Hours
Delivery Mode: Face to face
Where: Unit 2, 84 Solomon Road, Jandakot WA 6164.
Amenities: Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Kitchen facilities are available for those who wish to bring their own lunch. A lunch bar is 100m away.

This nationally accredited Issue Work Permits training course includes Isolate and Access Plant and provides companies or individuals who issue work permits the knowledge and skills to understand the permit system, know the limitations of each permit and make decisions regarding the need for and correct use of each permit. This competency unit includes the issue of any and all permits. It applies to the issuing of permits covering a single plant or plant area such as might be an operators scope of responsibility. This unit also provides the skills and knowledge required to isolate and access plants in the resources and infrastructure industries. It applies to those working in operational roles.
Pre-Requisites
The pre-requisite is included in this course, Conduct Hazard Analysis is a pre-requisite for Issue Work Permits.
Designed For
This course is for participants who are required to issues appropriate permits to work to persons conducting a variety of activities in workplace environments in which hazards exist or specific procedures need to followed and monitored to protect the safety of personnel and the integrity of plant or process and is particularly suited to supervisors of confined space work, working at heights and hot work.
