Perform Pole Top Rescue (PTR) (UETTDRRF02B)

This nationally accredited Pole Top Rescue course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to correctly and safely conduct a one on one and crew member Pole Top Rescue (PTR). Specific requirements, inspection and theory are clearly explained in the classroom, including the set up and conduct of a Pole Top Rescue completed to reinforce and confirm the required skills and application.

Designed For
This Unit is for participants who are required to maintain currency to work within the ESI Network or work on or near energised or de-energised power poles.

Pre-Requisites 
Current CPR Certification (within 12 months).

Face to face

Assessment
Participants must have the ability to read and write English and be able to perform practical and theoretical assessment as required.

Course Details 
   Individual bookings:

  • Where: Unit 2, 84 Solomon Road, Jandakot WA 6164.
  • Duration: 4 hours (8 hours combined with Provide CPR)
  • Time: 8.00am to 12.00pm
  • Dress: Clean standard work wear, enclosed safety shoes, long shirt and pants

  • Personal protective equipment
  • Rescue equipment
  • Inspecting rescue equipment
  • Storing rescue equipment
  • Preparing and set up of rescue equipment
  • Carrying out one-on-one rescue
  • Carrying out a crew rescue
  • Performing high voltage rescue

On successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the contents of and inspect, maintain and store a pole top rescue kit.
  • Identify when and how to correctly set up a pole top rescue kit.
  • Carry out a rescue at the top of a pole.

Upon Completion
Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and wallet sized card for UETTDRRF02B Perform Pole Top Rescue.
