Perform EWP Controlled Descent Escape (EDD) (UETTDRRF08B)


This one-day nationally accredited EWP Controlled Descent Escape Training (EDD) course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to perform correctly and safely an EWP Controlled Descent Escape (EDD). Participants will be able to correctly inspect, then fit  fall arrest harnesses and attachments (lanyards) and descend safely using the Emergency Descent Device (EDD) attached to the EWP bucket.


Designed For
This Unit is for participants who are required to maintain currency to work within the ESI Network.

There are no pre-requisites for this training.

Delivery Mode
Face to face

Participants must have the ability to read and write English and be able to perform practical and theoretical assessment as required.

Course Details 
   Individual bookings:

  • Where: Unit 2, 84 Solomon Road, Jandakot WA 6164.
  • Duration: 4 hours (8 hours combined with Pole Top Rescue)
  • Time: 8.00am to 12.00pm
  • Dress: Clean standard work wear, enclosed safety shoes, long shirt and pants

Upon Completion
Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and wallet sized card for UETTDRRF08B Perform EWP Controlled Descent Escape.
